Buttery Biscuits

Hello everyone, what's up? This is Annah with the first recipe I will be posting about. I decided to start with one of my favorite recipes- something I've made for my family many times before. Whether it's dinner, lunch, breakfast or just for snaking, these buttery biscuits are   delicious fun for everyone!
See how fluffy they are? They taste good any time, but best when they are warm. I personally like them with lots of butter lathered on top, but they also taste good as egg Mcmuffins, turkey sandwiches, peanut butter sandwiches, or with any kind of jam. You'll find that this recipe is very easy to follow. There are only five ingredients in these biscuits and they take    about ten minutes to bake. Anyhow, here's the recipe:

                          Delicious Buttery Biscuits

   Ingredients                           Utensils
2 cups white flour              mixer
3 tsp baking powder     large mixing bowl
1\2 tsp salt                     rolling pin
3\4 cup milk                  biscuit cutter (a cup works)
1\3 cup melted butter    baking tray
                                        whisk
   -----------------------------------------------------

Start the oven at 450 degrees.
Measure the flour, baking powder, and salt in the mixing bowl. Whisk it till it is all mixed up. Take the melted butter and add it to the bowl. Start mixing it as you slowly add in the milk. Let it mix till the dough stiffens up. The dough should be pretty soft.

Sprinkle some flour on a clean counter top and place the dough on it. Then knead the dough with your hands 12 to 15 times and then use the rolling pin to roll it out to 3\8 or 3\4 inches think, depending on whether you want thin crusty biscuits or thick soft ones. Next use your biscuit cutter (or cup) to cut out the biscuits, laying them on the tray as you go. Repeat that section till you have no more dough for biscuits. Before you put them in the oven you can brush the tops with extra drips of melted butter. Then put them in the oven for ten minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool and then enjoy your buttery biscuits!

Until next time, Annah
